"Gamemaker promises free shipping and faster repairs, extra one-year commitment on out-of-warranty services."

This is good news for 360 owners!

Hmm.. I might just send in my 360 for repairs then. I've had my 360 since launch, and after several months it would randomly show 3 red rings, but was fine after resetting. Then it completely stopped working a little under a year, but since it was before MS announced they were extending the warranty to a year, I never called or inquired about repairs since it was way past its original 90 day warranty anyway. Then of course they announce their change to a year warranty not too long after I've already had the system for a year.  Sad

The idea of sending in my system in for repairs for $140 just to get a refurbed system that might very well crap out on me always rubbed me wrong, but if most will get original system back, and most importantly, guarantee a one year warranty on repairs to out of warranty systems, then I don't think I can resist.

I'd been trying to be patient and wait for either the Elite, a price drop on Cores, or the quieter drives said to be coming out later, but with some of the games coming out I've really been itching to play my 360 again. Hopefully the mentioned covered postage means the $140 repair fee has lowered, but I won't get my hopes up too much.

I would contact Microsoft and take advantage of this.
