What happened? I wasn't expecting another Medal of Honor game inside a Call of Duty box. I'm rather dissapointed.

it's not that it sucks, it just that I was expecting more. I've seen Call of Duty as being a step above Medal of Honor and I think that this is basically the exact same thing. Its just generic...except for the changing of the main character from Russian to Brittish to American there is nohing that original about it. even these aren't a big change. the only difference is your appearance/accent in the cut scenes and some of the weapons, besides that its just a locaton change which every game has.

I've played the XBOX version which is another reason I was dissaopinted. With the power of the XBOX they could have made it equal to the pc version in almost every way but they didn't. The just made a generic game so the didn't have to change anything from system to system(I believe it appeared on all three major consoles, but i'm not sure about g-cube.)

Anyway maybe i was just expecting too much, you know. A marvelous WWII FPS was just too much to hope for i guess.

I haven't played these, but this trend is becoming obvious even to somebody who doesn't buy these games.  Flipping through a Game Informer one day while eating lunch, I started counting the ads for games that had "war" or "soldier" in the title or were obviously in that vein you just described.  It's getting ridiculous.  We have Vietnam, WWII, Korea, Russia, etc., etc.  I hear these games are solid, and they look that way, but the war FPS thing has been done a thousand times.  The genre needs something new.

when I said to the pc version i mis-spoke. what I meant to say was pc call of duty games. I don't think this particular version of call of duty was on the pc at all.
