This game was actually finished, but never released. Probably because it's so shitty. Some good people went out of their way to rip a press disc though and published it on the internet.

I downloaded and played it last night, and it's shitty indeed. But it's cool to play a game you were never meant to play. After Half Life, Propellor Arena and that bowling game this is the fourth unreleased dreamcast game that got published on the internet so far. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Anyways, Go try and find it.

Just heard? That happened ages ago.  And yeah, games are still being produced for it in Japan. Very rarely though, and mainly shooters and the like.

Yeah Half Life has been out for a long, long time.  If you can get ahold of it, it's obvious why the game didn't come out for DC after all that time under development: the load times were the worst I have ever experienced in ANY game.

I see you haven't played Soldier of fortune for the dreamcast. The loading times in that game are a lot worse than the ones in Half Life.

Wow, that's kind of scary.  I'll keep my eyes out for that one.

I would love it if someone could get permission from the rights holders to these games and release these in disc form.  I don't mind playing them on the computer, but I would really like to play them on actual hardware.

You can't play them on a computer anyway, since there are no dreamcast emulators. You can burn the games on a cd and play them on the actual hardware.

the castlevania game is one that i would have loved to have seen in action.
some screenies are here:  http://dreamcast.ign.com/objects/012/012004.html
it looks alot better than the N64 games.  i did have a link to a girls site that worked on the game, but i have lost it.  she talked about why it got cancelled.

what a shame.

Do you remember why it was cancelled?  Back when it was still supposed to be coming out, I remember looking at screenshots every month in EGM and other mags and drooling over it.  They hyped it up a bit, too.  I'm sure I read somewhere along the way the reasons for its cancellation, but that's been several years now and I had forgotten about the game entirely.
