I wasn't looking for it. I was reading stuff about world war 2 and holocaust related stuff. And that picture was there. And now I'm curious again.

Well that makes sense then

Yeah, it's kinda surprising to see that some of the worst attrocities commited during the nazi regime were not by the nazis themselves but collaborators from 'countries' like the Ukraine and Lithuania.

@ Anthony - I saw that video.  It was very gruesome.  It's one thing seeing something like that in a movie, but when you know it's real, it takes on a whole different.....  I can't think of the word, but you know what I mean.

I try to avoid stuff like that. I browsed rotten.com once and some of those images are still in my head. yeah I'm curious but I don't really want to see people dying or dead.

And stuff like goatcx and tub girl I also wish I'd never seen.

The sad thing is that you can stumble on that stuff without even trying. I was doing a google image search for a picture of a UPS truck when my company was pitching that account. One of the picture it found was of a guy who got hit by a UPS truck, he was in pieces all over the road. Another time I needed an image of  a sock for a flyer and get some freaky pic from a foot fetish site.

gotta love the internet.

I'm not tryin to sound like an asshole or anything but I'm honestly amazed at the amount of people disturbed by certain things anymore. Perhaps it's because I've seen a lot of really fucked up shit in person and from a young age that things just don't affect me that way, death in particular. If I stumble upon it I just shrug an say whatever, click the lil X in the corner.

That in mind recently there was a gang related shooting at a local high school that actually made the news. A lot of people were "shocked" by it but I wasn't really. It is fucked up that a kid got popped over stupid bullshit but at the same time he shouldn't have been tryin to play gangbanger. I'm not sayin he got what he deserved. Simply that he put himself in that situation.

I'm with you Laurel. The internet has made me numb for horrible images. Seeing stuff like mentioned above in real would probably have a very unhappy effect on me though.

I have no effect what-so-ever. I've seen humans that were burnt to death up close (dad being a fireman an me chasing firetrucks) and the only thing that bothered me was the smell after the first. I think though it's really a good thing for me cause when my mum fell and split her head open last year I didn't panic. I did what had to be done while the medics took their sweet ass time.
