I think you're mixing up reality with cartoons.

Here is a question for those of you across the pond.
Did the European news agencies cover anything about Terri Schiavo?
The subject was literally beaten to death over here.

Yeah, they did. And I haven't heard a positive word about the way the USA handled it. Sometimes it really seems like you are stuck in the middle ages.
It was mostly like: 'jesus christ, look at what those Americans are making a fuss about this time'

Well, I'm glad it's finally over. I certainly would hope that if something like that ever happens to me, my family doesn't try to keep me alive on a tube for seventeen years. Thankfully, I know my parents aren't that crazy.

In my opinion, it seems like we treat sick pets better than this. (At least we don't starve them to death.)  But I am not quite sure what you mean by "stuck in the middle ages." ÂÂÂ
On the other hand, do the European news agencies ever say anything positive about the US?
Did anyone catch the South Park this week?

With stuck in the middle ages I mean sticking to the religious teachings and letting someone suffer, instead of chosing the rational humanistic way out. If you really cared about 'human life' you wouldn't let someone slowly starve to death for over a week, but just give her a quick injection. And not be pro death penalty.
And my previous remark was mostly the opinion of the people around me. I read lousy newspapers and they have unbiased news. Better newspapers have both negative and positive things to say about happenings in the USA. Of course they're almost always critical, but that's what newspapers are supposed to be (at least the good ones).

Keep in mind though that we don't really get the boring news from the USA. It's nothing personal for us, so
something
has to happen. And at the moment, with Bush in the house, it's very very easy to be negative and critical about what's going on.

I did, it was really good. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are really good at making a point in a hilarious way. Too bad that in real life the PSP is actually an instrument of Satan, not of God.

On the topic of a series of completely unrelated thoughts.... part 2....
I owe Mike Fifty Imaginary Dollars. It's much better to owe imaginary money over real money. So, in keeping true to the bet, I give Mike 50 Imaginary RF Generation Dollars. You earned it Mike, I never thought we'd actually advance to the next hole.

Frisbee golf. There was a group ahead of us that were almost done at the next hole, and Eddie said we could at least walk over there. Dave said we couldn't. I said I bet we could. He offered to bet me an imaginary $50. He lost miserably.
