Sega might release some classic titles on the Nintendo Revolution! I think that would be cool.

I think that would be awesome, although I'm more a fan of owning the actual carts. For people who don't want to go to the trouble of buying the system and the carts, the Revolution is going to be a dream come true.

Damn if SEGA and Nintendo start working really closely together i think i m ight start having to get more sega stuff.
So long as it is sega influencing Nintendo and not nitendo absorbing sega.

I was talking more the old stuff release as down loadable content. Not rehashed stuff Mr Negative.

re·hash
tr.v. re·hashed, re·hash·ing, re·hash·es
1. To bring forth again in another form without significant alteration

Sounds to me like an old game being released as downloadable content would qualify as rehashed material.
I'm not saying that it's bad that this is a possibility. It's great. However, I'd much rather hear about something big. A thousand old games being released as downloads for Revolution isn't that exciting, especially for video game collectors. We already have the games. Give me something big. Give me something shocking. Give me something that says I should buy a Revolution and forget about Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Neither of them interests me much, but so far Nintendo hasn't shown anything groundshaking.
It's nice and all if Sega and Square and others "express interest" in Nintendo's "innovative alternative strategy," but nothing is solid. Remember those amazing deals Capcom and Namco made for GameCube to make exclusive titles? Everybody got so excited, but those deals made little to no impact on the console's sales, or its perception by the general public.
The day EA says they want to make Revolution their home field will be the day I really jump for joy - not because I like EA games, but rather because every other third party on the planet will follow in their enormous footsteps.

Mark said rehashed sequels. I am talking about the old games. And since I am a Sega fan that is good news to me.
All 3 systems will have rehashed shit on them. Seems like thats all games and movies are nowadays. Rehashed old shit.
By not releasing details about its system and games Nintendo will shoot themselves in the foot yet again.

I really hope that the Revolution does well, because this is the one system that I am genuinly excited about. Frankly, I think that if the Revolution can at least challenge for the top selling console that might lead to them back to the top of the industry. The fact that they are winning the handheld wars against Sony is possibly just the begining.
Back on subject however, I hope more companies follow suit with this. Sure it will greatly devalue my collection, but I am not to sad about that. Anything to let me get more games cheaper.

Eh, I couldn't care less about that. Almost nobody has HDTV, so it seems rather stupid to focus time, development costs, etc. on features that 90% of people will not be able to utilize.

Most people might not have it at launch, but as the console gets older more and more people are going to be getting HDTV sets. It wouldn't have taken too much additional effort to make it compatible.
Is there the possibility of an add on card that will support HDTV? It certainly would be possible to do so. Are both the new MS and Sony systems going to support it?

I'd bet in another 5yrs 90% of us will have HDTVs in our homes.
I don't yet, I bought my tv a couple or three years ago, at the time HDTV was just becoming more available. I spent over a grand on mine a 36" CRT (read very heavy!) Sony Wega Flat screen. Nothing wrong with it, so I'm not looking to upgrade just yet, but.. a flat screen/flat panel LCD or plasma widescreen HDTV would be sooo nice!
Just waiting on prices to drop a little bit.
I'm personally more interested in tvs for viewing dvd not so much on the television shows. I only watch a few programs anyways, and nothing comes to mind where I immediately need the upgrade to HDTV.
