I guess the shootout can be exciting. to me it just feels more "skills competition" than "hockey" though.

the move that guy made in the video would be more impressive had he come up with that while a defenseman was bearing down on him. It's a little easier to be creative when you know you're walking in untouched.

Well, no sooner do you say this than Detroit has a shootout.  Pavel Datsyuk made the goalie for Columbus look retarded.

No, he left because he wanted the bright lights and spotlights of LA.  Most fans here were pissed at him because he didn't have any desire to be in Detroit because it was much to blue collar for his taste.
