That sucks.

Surprised that no one entered the electrical room in two months.

^They did.  The police aparently searched that room, but didn't go deep enough to find him.  They were too worried about getting electrocuted themselves.  I don't know why they didn't just shut the power off to search the room at the time when they were searching all the other rooms in that dorm, but they decided not to.  I have a feeling a lot of policies are going to change around here in the months to come.  Luckily I don't live in the dorms anymore.

Quote
Voltages over 600 volts can rupture human skin, greatly reducing the resistance of the human body, allowing more current to flow and causing greater damage to internal organs. The most common high voltages are transmission voltages (typically over 13,800 volts) and distribution voltages (typically under 13,800 volts). The latter are the voltages transferred from the power generation plants to homes, offices, and manufacturing plants.

High-voltage electrical energy quickly breaks down human skin, reducing the human body's resistance to 500 Ohms. Once the skin is punctured, the lowered resistance results in massive current flow, measured in Amps. Again, Ohm's law is used to demonstrate the action. For example, at 1,000 volts,

Current=Volts/Ohms = 1000/500 = 2 Amps

which can cause cardiac standstill and serious damage to internal organs.

I got a nice surprise this morning. Four parcels turned up in the post. I've been waiting nearly two weeks for three CDs to come from Florida and Hong Kong. The other one was Test Drive Unlimited for the Xbox 360 with a free TDU faceplate. Even without the faceplate it was cheaper than anywhere else.

Hong Kong?
My only experience with that country is bootleg-filled.
Are you sure what you have is real, and therefore awesome?

Had a nice little announcement in Psych today. Since the prof hasn't been to class for the past 3 Fridays, she's making our test Monday open notes and open book Grin

Good news everyone. Canada and the UK are ranked 2 and 3 in terms of countries visiting RFG.

Congrats go to Tan and the_wizard_666 for placing them at second.
James, Andy, and Alabama-Shrimp, nice job yourself too.

Quite worryingly, I expect it's mostly me. Looking at the forum stats, I've spent the second most amount of time online. Shocked

And Holy crap! I've got 840 posts!

My (roomate's) PLAYSTATION 3 is helping to fight Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes with Folding@Home. What's your 360 and/or Wii doing to help contribute to society? That's what I thought. Wink
