I know this is really old but I searched before making a new thread.

Radiohead, The Beatles, Pavement, The Velvet Underground, Animal Collective

But Radiohead is much much better than most.

Judas Priest is my top fav by far. I've got two priest tatoos on my left forearm.

After Priest would be stuff like:

Rainbow (Dio only)
Dio
Stryper
UFO
Scorpions
Bal Sagoth
Blind Guardian
Iced Earth (only with Matt Barlow)
Iron Maiden (pre 2000s)
Black Sabbath (only Heaven & Hell/Mob Rules)
and many others.

Here are my top 5 faves, in no particular order:

- Rush (particularly their run from 1981-96)

- Van Halen (The DLR years, 'natch)

- Genesis (especially their pre-80s material)

- Saga

- White Zombie / Rob Zombie (same difference, really)

Other musical artists I enjoy:

- AC/DC (Both Bon and Brian)

- Michael Jackson

- The Alan Parsons Project

- Fleetwood Mac (particularly the tunes fronted by Christine McVie)

- The Mamas and the Papas (they put out the most upbeat breakup songs ever!)

- Hank Williams (Senior)

- Peter Gabriel

- Jim Croce

Guilty pleasures:

- Neil Diamond

- America (AKA The "Horse With No Name" guys)

- Air Supply (Oh, for the love of God, just kill me now)

Def Leppard. I like rock in general but mostly stuff from the 70's and 80's, I feel like that was the golden age of rock.

Looks like there are quite a few people who like Rush here. They're also one of my favourite bands along with Iron Maiden. I really love the old prog stuff like Yes and King Crimson. Ah... that music is cool.
