Saw this on joystiq.com, these lots look amazing. Outrageous prices but thats to be expected. Apperently these games have been in their warehouse for years and they are giving all proceeds to united way. Makes you wonder what else could be sitting around in a warehouse somewhere!

That is fantastic. Great games for a good cause. Good for them.
On a side note, did you see some of that stuff? Sealed Dragon Warrior IV? Sealed Aero Fighters? Jeepers.

It was insane man. Sealed Bubble Bobble 2, Sealed TMNT
Tournament Fighters, the ones you mentioned, tons of rare Game Boy Games. I say we all pool our money together and buy a lot and then split it up.

That is some amazing stuff right there. It really does make you think about some warehouses being full of this stuff. Just imagine finding a box of Nintendo World Championship games that were never used
Which lot do you guys think will go for the most?
My vote is for #1.

Those are definitely some amazing auctions...imagine coming across lots like that in the wild as a collector!
I think the lot with the sealed Final Fight Guy for SNES will be going for the most, as it's supposedly only the second known copy of the black box variant.

Part of one of the auctions says:
"..there was no distinct packaging for Canadian product."
Ironic that as collectors we can pick out the obvious errors is eBay listings like that even the company reps aren't aware of. I wonder how many people got suckered into thinking all of these games are American. There are hundreds of games for all Nintendo systems that have specific Canadian variants. They've already sold a few obvious ones you could point out from the pictures alone.
As a Canadian, this is an especially cool set of auctions. While American versions of these games are easy to find, Canadian versions can be scarce. Try comparing the ease of finding say Mario 3 CIB from Canada versus the US one. Even most Canadian auctions are selling US releases. For a Canadian collector, these are the finds of a lifetime all in one place at once.

I do think that most of these are US, though...at least the NES games. The only NES games with -CAN were first party releases and with a black sticker seal as far as I know. Given that the NES games in the auctions are sealed with shrinkwrap, the first party titles are probably the -USA versions.

I'm sure it's a mixed bag, that's why for hardcore collectors these auctions may be a bit misleading. I'm pretty sure I had seen the red Mattel logo on the Mario 3 in one of the first auctions and the Mario Paint was definitely Canadian.
As for the rest, it's hard to say without seeing the back covers in detail. I had thought about bidding on a few but with the uncertainty of their region I wouldn't know for sure what country they are from, and for that price wouldn't take the chance.

Yeah, I think they're gonna go for a good amount...there's a lot of hype surrounding these auctions.

Huge amounts. Good for them. One of them eclipsed $7000!

Yeah, unfortunately though the high bidder isn't paying for the stuff. I think she paid for 1 lot so far, and the others are being relisted...got a bit over her head apparently (which is sad given that these are charity auctions).
