I got a chance to try system link for the first time last night. we had 5 for most of the night with 7 guys for a few rounds. it was a little crowded in my living room but a hell of a time.

we played all the new maps too. I think I like Turf, Gemini, Backwash and the one with the train (Terminal?) best.

on Gemini I pretty much just walked around clubbing people with the Brute shot, seemed to work pretty well.

Yeah. That was a really tood idea. Now we need to start picking up games that have system link for 1-4+ players. There's a lot out there that are only 2 player split screen on one box, but support 4 players for multiplayer via system link.

You did plow through Gemini rather easily. Good work. I would've liked to have played that one more than once, there's a lot of crazy stuff on that map.

It was worht my 8-10 bucks IMO.

Back to Halo 2
I have really cut back.
I pretty much play with a few people.
Sensei Fu being one and a few guys that none of you know.

I bought an Action Replay 3 days ago to load some custom game types to play on H2.

I wasn't planning on cheating (I never would) but now they're banning people for simply having custom game saves from AR.

So, there's another $30 wasted as it's fairly useless to me now.

Thanks to all the assmonkey tards at Bungie.   Roll Eyes

Really ?  Angry

How about thanks to all the asshat cheaters for making this a move that needed to happen ? I wouldnt pin this one on Bungie. I am thankful of the measures they are taking to fix the rampant cheating issue.

I havent played for a few days now , but if the modding is truely over with then I think Bungie did what was necessary and right.  Smiley

Oh, I agree that the cheating needed to be dealt with.  However, I think it's a sad commentary for Bungie (a company that has achieved legendary status)  that they have been hacked in every conceivable way and seem ill equipped to deal with it.

You're trying to tell me that with all their technology added to the fact that we all have to log into their server that they cannot tell the difference between cheaters and people using fun custom saves in custom games?

IMHO, it's inexcusable that they have so little control over their own game and network.

Inexcusable you say ?

I dont know about that . Games have been hacked before and it will happen again. Anybody who has played online games before knows that there are people out there who can and will crack codes and mod.

Diablo 2 is just one example. Any online game that gets huge is going to have these issues. IMO

We're not talking about PC's here which are infinitely easier to screw with.  The XBOX is a reasonably secure platform to police (the non-modded box that is).

With all that stability, it still seems that H2 has been a quagmire of problems nearly since it's release.

IMHO, Bungie has dropped the ball and it's not the first time.  We'll just have to agree to disagree.
