The linkcable was sold in Japan for sure and maybe the USA. There was no linkcable in Europe as SNK didn't release any Dreamcast games over here. I am not sure if the euro-version Capcom vs SNK supports it as I didn't play it much.

It was sold in the USA.  When I bought my NGPC in 2000 (just before SNK pulled the plug...  er, batteries), I almost bought a link cable too so I could hook it up to my Dreamcast.  I remember seeing them at GameStop (then babbage's) and (I think) Best Buy.

I have these two:
RockMan Battle & Fighter
SNK vs CAPCOM: Match of the Millennium

Rock Man is really fun, especially for blue bomber fans. Basically its just a fighting game where you fight the bosses - Mega Man style.

SNK Vs Capcom MOTM is a nifty fighter that also includes mini-games. There's a DDR type clone which is my fav and a few others.

Another game that I really dig is Cotton but its pretty damn hard to come by. Especially the European version. The JAP version is in English too I think. Basic platformer.

Cotton is a shooter not a platfomrer I think.

Funny to hear someone who like the DDR minigame in MotM. It's the only mini-game I don't like.

Rockman is fun, I have to agree on that as well.

Cotton is technically a shooter but gameplay wise it reminds me a lot of good ol NES platformers. Coining it as a shooter isn't exactly an honest evaluation if you're looking for one word to sum it up *shrug*

I totally love the DDR mini-game, my fav by far. I tend to think of it as mindless yet requiring correct reflexes and that's exactly the type of mini I dig on. Something I don't have to think about and just do. Tryng to do it without fucking up while not thinking is a challenge...hehe

I'm really bad in DDR-like games, so I don't like it so much. I only got a ronze medal I think.
