The PS2 2004 Holiday Demo Disc with Veiwtiful Joe 2 on it would earase your memory card if you played VJ2. So as compensation Sony will send you one of a few new games of your choice.

Hm....  I got the Holiday Demo Disc, but I don't think it had Viewtiful Joe 2 on it....  I'll have to take a look when I get home, but all I remember was Kill Zone, MGS3, ATV something or other, Jak something or other, and maybe one or two other games.  If Viewtiful Joe 2 had been on there, I would think I would've seen it and played it right away.  I could be crazy though.

Were there two versions of the demo?

There where 2 Versions.
The one that deletes your mem card has

7) Tak : The Staff of Demons
8) The Incredibles

Dan got the demo with out VJ2 on it so i can try and get the other discs games from him later. If i remember correctly there were a few crossover demos though.

I must've gotten the other one then.  That sucks that I can't get a free game.  Of course, I might not just because that buggy demo disc will be rare someday.

Ya there is a huge thread over at DP and 2 people have made offers on it.

I have 3 of the demos but i could really care less about the games they have to offer. So i will probably just keep all 3 of them. Too bad my mom threw out the letters they sent me because it deletes your memory card. I wanted to put them in with the discs.

I am a Playstation Underground member like 5 times over so every now and then i get a demo or 2.
I didn't get anything from them for months and months untill i got the evil deleting demo.

I think that's how I got mine though I don't recall getting anything from Playstation Underground since the PS2 first came out. I was surprised when it showed up.
