Weather balloons are supposed to drop slowly from what i understand.

I think the real problem is earth is 70+% water.

Oops, that's what happens when I barely read the article. Still, your game going into space, even by a balloon, still seems kinda far-fetched.
On another note, it's nice that the only thing that makes this different from the normal game is a tracking device. Something that gamers normally don't want in their games.

it must have some sort of protective case around it, the gps is most likely outside the game case if they kept it sealed

Does anyone know when they will be sent up or have they already been? And where on masseffect.com do you get the GPS tracking? I'm curious to see where they end up landing.

Yeah, and even if it lands on surface, it would be comical if they stop at a mountain peak like Everest or Mount Fuji, or maybe at the amazon jungle.
