Xbox Live subscription questions

As i have already mentioned i am going to have to drop live because i don't have the money for it.

I wanted to know will i be able to resubscribe and reuse my name(i hope) or keep any past stats(doubtful).
i had some other questions but i can't remember them now. I will ask again later.

I have 4 months worth of free subcriptions (2 cards) sitting around doing nothing if you want them ?

I still have 3 free months from Halo 2 but i didn't want to have to start all over with my stuff again under a new user name.

I talked to a friend at school and i guess i would be able to keep my name and stuff later but i can't use a free trial to do that. I would have to get a subscription to get it all back.

if you let the account go inactive...for example ... you have a year subscription that you dont renew before the day after the year you will need a new account with a new user name....once you drop an account, you cant bring it back...and you cant extend user names with the 2 month trial cards...if you use one you would need to get an actual subscription to keep using that name

If you are planning on not subscribing to xbox live after you have, make sure you call to cancel, or your credit card will be auto rebilled. It has happened to a few people i know, just an FYI

Ya i am going to cancel sometime this week.
I was originally trying to find out if i would be able to reuse my current tag if i closed out my account but so far it sounds like a no.

Looks like i am subscribed for the year. Unfortunately the credit card holder is needed to cancel. If i had the card i signed up with i would be able to cancel atleast.
