Think you know your composite input from your component input? How about your SCART from your VGA? What the heck does the 7.1 mean in your audio setup?

This time around we will explore various video and audio setups that span the length of gaming. We discuss the different setups most commonly available to us gamers, explain a bit of the tech behind them, and offer up our favorite ways to get the most out of your consoles.

So whether you are the type who has been trying to perfect a set of Quadraphonic headphones, or don't even know what Quadraphonic means, it might be time to optimize your audio and video options in order to get maximum pleasure when using your collection.

Bah!  I wasn't THAT undignified by the Saved By The Bell comment!  hahahaha

@engel762: We secretly blame Screech on you.

Goddamn, almost 2 hours of small scores, eh?

Definitely gotta check this bad boy out...

...a little later.

@Zagnorch P. Welinskivich II, Esq.: We keep saying we'll make it a little shorter, but then we keep talking...

Was Quadraphenia by The Who an influence on this episode? Or at least the synopsys?

Hey guys,

You mentioned early in the show that your having trouble getting the Collector Cast onto the Zune marketplace.

I actually listen to your podcast with the Zune software on my laptop at work.

I was able to add it to my Zune Podcast collection by clicking the "add a podcast" button in the lower left of the "Podcasts" tab and adding this url...

Hopefully that helps the one other Collector Cast fan out there that is still clinging to the awesome power of Zune!

@Voodoo Monkey: You sir, are going to make some folks happy! I'll be sure to include that in upcoming shows and in show notes.

I was a little offended that when you guys were trying to come up with names of any Sega collectors on here my name didn't come to mind.

I was also a little offended on OatBob's behalf.

@noiseredux: We're narrow minded Nintendo nerds. Give us a break Wink

We'll have to cook up a SEGA special before too long to give you folks some more love. Don't forget, I'm the Saturn lover on the show.

if you did a whole episode about Saturn, I'd be OK with that. Cheesy

I could get behind the Saturn Smiley

I'm glad I've managed to turn this comments-section into a Saturn lovefest. At this point, Saturn is 2nd only to Dreamcast in my book. Love this damn console!

Mmmm, I could talk about Castlevania: SotN on Saturn...

oh man that's high on my want list Duke. Sure I've played it on PS1, PSP and 360... but still. It's SOTN! On Saturn!

I remember my front-facing projection Mitsubishi TV, you would have to refill the ink haha
