The Collectorcast is 1 year old! If you are anything like us, then you did not get enough NES homebrew talk way back in our Episode 8 interview with Assimilates creator, John White. Fear not though, as this time around we have got another homebrew developer, Derek Andrews, from the team at Gradual Games. They have recently released the NES homebrew game Nomolos: Storming the Catsle and are still hard at work on another new title on the system.

We pick Dereks brain on the development of Nomolos, get his thought processes behind many of the choices when developing the game, a little sneak peak at his upcoming project, and a plethora of insightful NES development knowledge.

And as usual the Small Scores are back and as big as ever!

I am defiantly not a fan of Rockband.  I am with you on that one.  Good thing to know about the rockband downloads being close to being gone.  I was always curious to see in the future if some downloadable content will increase the value of someones account on xbox or playstation.  I guess only time will tell

@Tadpole13: That was something that was a big deal in the infancy of Xbox 360 - accounts would sell for hundreds of dollars due to the achievement score and content in the account. However, Microsoft cracked down heavily on the sales of accounts and have included conditions in their EULA now that forbid sales of accounts.

Wow.  Yea I am not surprized.  I was assuming that was going to happen just do to that fact of stuff not being downloadable anymore.  I can still see people selling there accounts and xbox not catching it

@Tadpole13: Yes, but if it gets reported and tracked down, Microsoft has the authority to cancel the subscription, reset your gamerscore, and/or reset your DRM licenses.

Ouch that would honestly suck.  Good thing I am not in the market to sell my account.  Hmm I am 2 Hours and 33 minutes into the collector cast and I have not heard anything about my attempting a boxed n64 collection.  I am so heart broken lol Tongue

@Tadpole13: It's been done by 2 of our members already - I think they have T-shirts being printed if you want in on it. Tongue

Nice there are 2 members on the site currently that have a complete boxed copy with manuals?

To put to rest all speculation as to the intention of my 2600 collection, I am not going for a full set. I think this somewhat impossible unless you are or are related to Scrooge McDuck.

@singlebanana: ...or you're Wonder007.

Wonder007 is related to Scrooge McDuck

Just finished listing to the podcast and really thought you guys did a great job. The interview was very informative, interesting, and it flowed well; I believe this is a result of you guys asking some really great questions.

I would like to point out however that I did not pick up a copy of Grind Stormer for the Genesis recently. I've had that game for a while and was commenting on someone else's pickup Fokakis79 - on 3/23/13). Also, I'm a little miffed that my pink Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy 8-track tape I got for $.40 was not mentioned this month.....

@singlebanana: Oops, guess we missed one, but at least we got a chance to talk about Grind Stormer. Also, no offense, but if it's not on a cylinder, it ain't cool. Wink

Duke i thought those guys were just joking about you being older :-P

@Izret101: I would never joke about something as serious as Duke's age. I'm genuinely worried for him Wink

@Izret101: At least I didn't say cave drawings. Wink

Great Episode Guys.

Anyone have a link to the Grey Ghost Collection video?

Fantastic episode BTW
