So I recently learned that Nintendo...in all their infinite wisdom...used a battery akin to the cell batteries in old SNES and Game Boy cartridges.  THE facepalm

Now, I don't have the tools or know-how to replace it and the nearest retro game store that could do it is allegedly an hour and a half away from me.  And if it's no longer in business, then the nearest one is upwards of three hours away from several counties over.  So I'm hoping I can just deal with adjusting the date and time every time I use the system.

My question is will this have any negative effects on the following GameCube games, which are the only ones I own:

Custom Robo
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Mario Party 4
Mario Party 5
Mario Party 6
Mario Party 7
Sonic Adventure DX
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
Sonic Gems Collection
Sonic Mega Collection Plus

Also, will the dead battery have any negative effects on raising Chao in the Adventure games?  I'm hoping all of these games will play with no issue, but I swear I recall hearing that Chao raising has real time elements tied to it.
