I just subjected myself to the 3 hour torture known as Dune ('84). Massive pile of crap. Has anyone seen the sci-fi channel mini-series? I heard it was better.

Last time I saw Dune I was about 8 and don't remember anything about it except that I got bored and had a hard time paying attention.

I liked the original Dune, not something I can watch often but every few years or so. The mini-series was OK but I didn't like how the story turned out, and having a completely new cast I was always confusing characters.
