Yard Sale season? Summer is are slow season for yard sales. laugh

For me quitting thrifts and stuff like that is easy. Eaby and forums are hard for me to stop buying from.

Yeah, we like to wait until there is no snow on the ground before we start having yard sales!  Quite a different story in AZ huh!?!

I dont know about shaggy, but I assume that I am a different type of collector than you.  I get what I can get cheap...I snub my nose at $3 NES carts and $4 Genny carts.  I want to find things for a dollar or two. Also, as long as I can play the game I really don't care about completeness either...It's just an added bonus for me.  Shipping usaully kills any "deal" I might find on ebay.

(I say this now...but when I get into the big numbers Im sure I will be on ebay all the time  |D)

sad thing around here I can usally find stuff cheaper on ebay than what the flea market people ask. I even had a guy at a yard sale tell me his 2600 loose mousetrap cart was worth 40.00 dollars  I just said wow and left

Yeah, everybody is checking ebay now for everything.  I've actually had old ladies quote ebay to me at yard sales.   Roll Eyes

Around here thrift stores are not cheap any more. I saw one place wanted 44.99 for a loose Genesis model 2 system. Plus the amout of time driving and the gas doesn't make it worth it. I will go once and a while. If I have to go some where and I pass a thrift on the way I will stop.

@m3talst0rm - I am cheap as well I passed on 3-4 dollar games all the time when I went hunting. I have also passed on many game on EBay due to the sellers charging to much for shipping.

Really shipping is no different them going out looking. You have gas money, if you are like Rick and I and go for a long time you stop and eat plus all the time spent looking.

Not that I'm up to Tynstar or Den numbers, but I found that the larger my collection got, the less I spent on Ebay.  When I first got into collection I was spending around $200 a week on Ebay.  Now I go several months without buying anything on Ebay.

You spend less becasue there is less you want. I don't spend  a  lot on Ebay now because I am only looking for a few things to finish library's. Staying focused on 1 or 2 librarys save you money. kinda  Wink
