..... For now.  After my trade with Mez I'm going to have to slow down and stop buying games.  No searching Ebay for a month!  I'm gonna do it!

Maybe a more reasonable goal would be to limit yourself to a $ amount per week or per transaction or something? Maybe set a budget? Going cold turkey rarely works.

Good luck.

I slow down because I don't have money. Have you tried being poor?

After my recent explosion of purchases, I am limiting myself to "x" amount of dollars every 2 weeks.

I've become a cheapskate recently because I am saving up for more video games.  With Cinci Classic in just over two weeks, and an arcade game auction coming up in about a month and a half, I've had to cut my spending quite a bit.  The biggest purchase I've made lately was a purchase I made off of a guy from Atari Age, and that was only $20 shipped.

I have had to quit buying because I was poor, and let me tell you, it's like trying to quit crack.  For the first week or two, I'm a bit edgy and have a short temper and buying games is all I can think about.  Usually that's when I get more money I can spend and I go nuts after that.

Not going on Ebay is easy for me but going into a thrift shop and finding some cheap games is when I have trouble.

And don't forget: Yard sale season is comming!!!

I just don't do ebay much.  Sometimes I look to see if someone has misspelled something or put something in the wrong category, but it just mostly makes me mad.  I see things that I want and really can't justify spending the amount of cash that is required on them.

So I am like you...quitting ebay is easy...It's all the other stuff that gets me into trouble!

sad thing around here I can usally find stuff cheaper on ebay than what the flea market people ask. I even had a guy at a yard sale tell me his 2600 loose mousetrap cart was worth 40.00 dollars  I just said wow and left

I guess I've been pretty cheap lately as well. I can't remember the last time I paid over $19.99 for a new game, ebay or otherwise. And of the current gen used stuff, I try to keep purchases around 10 bucks and limit myself to games that are CIB.
