Sorry, dude.  Don't give up!  Depending on what happened, though, you may have to radically adjust parameters and expectations...

It's too bad your event ending up being a flop. It can be really hard to get something like off the ground, even if it stays small in size.

With some planning and persistence something will work out. Maybe it'd be good to start with friends and expand to friends of friends. Word of mouth can go a long way.
