I sure hope the fanfics you read don't involve... shall we say...
citrus?
As for myself:
I dug the movie, so I figure the book's gotta be at least twice as good.
I haven't been disappointed so far...

What about crossover fics with
TransFormers

I might just read those to see if they're really as bad as I fear they'd be...

There's alot of overlap between the MLP and Transformers fan-base, so probably. They might be good to, MLP stuff actually tends to be of pretty high quality as far as fanfic goes.

Good grief... I can't even go beyond reading the fanfic descriptions, these are so preposterous.
In the meantime, I think I'll just leaf through a little something I picked up at a local thrift:
At first, I thought it was the Japanese edition of
Cosmopolitan
magazine. But no, it's all about cosplaying as your fave anime or video game character (COSMO = COStume MOdel). Its only common thread with American
Cosmo
are some illustrated make-up application tips. At least, I

If you don't think cosplay in the Land of the Rising Sun is serious business-- and can be downright scary as all get-out-- you've got another think comin'. A lotta the outfits shown look downright uncanny.
The scary thing is, the last page promotes the "Maid and Lolita Photo Party," which would definitely get the Pedobear Seal of Approval, if there ever was such a--
Oh right... this is the internet we're talking about.
