In tribute to the late, great Carl Weathers, I'm taking my ear to a few bangers from the Rocky franchise:

Just finished Moral Orel, which has some of the most... interesting tunes to say the least:

And apropos of nothing, I also happened upon this little ditty:

And I can't forget one of the few Adam Sandler creations I can halfway stand:

Oh well. It's a little-known Japanese electronic trio from the 80's called Cosmos, and their "Musitopia" album.

In anticipation of seeing the new Superman movie, I've been listening to the incomparable works of John Williams, particularly...

...The Raiders March...

...The Imperial March, AKA Darth Vader's Theme...

...and, of course, his greatest piece of work, which is best experienced with the black-and-white comic book intro, the whooshing sounds of the opening credits titles, and the trippy traveling-through-space visuals. It all comes together to form the greatest opening-credits sequence to a theatrical film ever made. Well, maybe a very close second to the Terminator 2 intro whenever I'm in a particular mood.
