Umm that was in the article you posted Arrr.

I am not going to say i don't think pirates are cool because they are.
I do however think that Ninjas are cooler.
A Samurai is cooler than a Pirate too but not as cool as a Ninja.

Samurai are way cooler than either pirates or ninjas.  Go watch Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Seven Samurai, Ran, and/or The Hidden Fortress.  You will understand very quickly that samurai could (and do) annihilate all.

If that is the case why did Samurais fear Ninjas?
Even if fear is not the correct word. They did not want to have to fighting one.
Besides Ninjas were originally founded by one monk from the mountains of Japan who taught a Samuria a new way to fight.(Not making it up.)
