Go see it.
I know there has been a comic book-inspired movie fad going on lately, but Sin City is way different. The visuals, storyline, acting, script, etc. are all perfectly intertwined in this movie. It's a 10 out of 10 for sure. I'm not familiar with the comic books this is based on, but the influence is obvious. It really feels a lot like a comic book come to life, crossed with fim noir and made even darker than the 1930's classics it is clearly inspired by.
Character development is also really good. Bruce Willis does a great job, and surprisingly, Elijah Wood does too. (It helps that he doesn't have a single line.) Great balance of humor, action, and ass-kicking. I love how all of the despicable people get what is coming to them in the end (times a billion).
If you're not 18 yet, sneak in. You have to see this movie.

Agreed! I saw it at the end of last month, and it is one of the best movies I've seen in a good year or two.
