Correct, the other way is technically an ending but it isn't the right one

I thought about beating it once before starting because I have been so excited. I could fly through it to a perfect save in about 12 hours, maybe less. ha ha

The story of this game is a direct sequel to Rondo of Blood, which is what I would consider "Castlevania 4."  If you want some background, play Rondo on PSP first.

Is that the one from this game?

I thought this was a US release of a Japanese-only release, not the U.S. Rondo of Blood for the Turbo grafix CD. If that is the case, I will be replacing my broken battery for me PSP and playing it for the next 5 days.

Yes, that has a Rondo remake on it, as well as SotN and the original Rondo which are unlocks.

Rondo is also scheduled for release on WiiU VC this month, I believe.

Are the Rondo remake and the original the same story and gameplay? Or is it more than improved graphics?

I've never completed the remake, but from what I understand it's the same game with a 2.5D graphical style.

Sweet. Too bad I can't pick up a replacement PSP Battery until Saturday, maybe not even then. I wonder if I can play it plugged into the A/C without a battery...

I think that's possible... My PSP had a swollen battery.

That is exactly my issue, a battery that swelled up and exploded the battery cover. I spent a lot on that battery too. It was an extended life battery from Sony.
