I was hoping to have beat
Xenoblade Chronicles X
, but after 20 some attempts at the final boss, I realized I was underpowered. I've gone back to grind some more, and I'm following a Skell build guide, to try and get a more powerful setup for taking on the last boss. Hopefully, I can get enough grinding done to get the game knocked out soon.

Been bouncing between 4 games lately-
Madden 20
- Surprised I'm enjoying it as much as I am, maybe EA will eventually get it back to the excellence it was during the PS2 era. Looking forward to the exclusive license ending next year. I know most people here aren't into the sports games, but a good franchise mode is pretty much a sports rpg.
Xexyz
- Solid game so far, decent platformer and decent shoot-em up stages so far, mixes a lot of common game elements to create a unique experience, but none of its parts seem exceptional.
Super Metroid
- Had a yearning to go back to this after doing the Top 20 Super NES list. Had forgotten just how big it feels. I've also noticed that I've picked up a few tricks from watching numerous speedruns.
Best part though was seeing my son finally give it an honest try, and admit it was pretty good. Been trying to get him to play it for years.
Ninja Gaiden III
- Been working a beating this through level 3 under a set of specific circumstances. But I'm a long ways away from the ultimate goal for now. Don't want to give too many details away, as eventually I hope to make a proof of concept video of the idea, but it takes the challenge of NGIII and ramps it up even further.

Super Smash Bros.
(N64) - I'm finally going to try for the completion, so today's goal is unlocking Captain Falcon.

I finally beat
Xenoblade Chronicles X
! After grinding up in levels to 60, and taking a different approach with my Skell build, I finally managed to finish the double-boss fight at the end of the game, and get a credit roll. I could continue to play, and finish surveying the entire planet, and do some of the other side missions, but after nearly 250 hours, I think I'm finally done with this game. I had already started the
Link's Awakening
remake, and picked it up again yesterday afternoon. I managed to complete the Key Cavern, so now I'm 3 dungeons in and complete. Hoping to knock this one out relatively quickly.

Super Smash Bros.
(N64) - I was able to unlock Ness today. I think that unlocking Luigi will take some practice.

I finished
South Park: The Fractured but Whole
the other day and just absolutely loved it, if you've played Stick of Truth you need to play this one as well. Currently I'm playing through
Fable III
again. I beat it many years ago on the 360, but ended up playing it again on game pass after beating the first 2 games again this past month. I'm hoping to finish it soon to get a jump on next month's playthrough of Control. I've also picked up Judgment for the PS4 and am very excited to play that one as well.

Super Smash Bros.
(N64) - My kids and I have been trying to finish all the "Board the Platform" missions and it has been brutal in spots.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
, which I've been streaming. I'm also working on the Shmup Club game for the month,
Steel Vampire
.
