Hey guys,

I am looking at getting into the homebrew scene (NES/SNES/Genesis) and am interested in physical carts only.  (No downloads, ROMs, emulators, etc)

What games do you suggest?

Also, can you provide a safe website or two that is a good place to buy these games?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

For NES, I'd recommend RetroUSB: http://www.retrousb.com/index.php and InfiniteNESLives: http://www.infiniteneslives.com/ outside of those, I follow The Brewery forum on Nintendo Age.

Thanks Duke.

Any suggestions for games?

I like action platformers, run/gun games, shmups or beat em ups.

Super Fighter Team does a bunch of the Genesis homebrews/localized releases of foreign games. I personally just pre-ordered Magic Girl from them for the Genesis.

@ferris182: Would you also be interested in Unlicensed games that are not localized, but still playable?

Battle Kid 1 & 2 for sure from RetroUSB. From InfiniteNESLives I'd say Nomolos.

I've had good luck with these three.  Alien Soldier is hard, but a blast.  Mr. Gimmick is a fun platformer.
http://www.ocdreproductions.com (Ordered Mr. Gimmick & Mother 25th Anniversary Edition)
http://shop.chipmasters.us/main.sc  (Ordered Alien Soldier)
http://thenesdump.com  (Lots of NES games to choose from.  Can pay with Paypal)
