See the word Corvette in the photo above? See the handle just above it? It is the "oh shit! handle".

Doing 80mph down the road, my bro told me to hold the handle, firmly.

I asked why. Because it's the "oh shit handle" he said.

What is that I asked.

Hold it and find out he said.

I grasped the handle, tightly. He slammed the brakes on. We stopped on a sixpence.

"OH.... SHIT!" I said.

Bare in mind, that it's left hand drive, in a right hand drive country, so when overtaking, I get a funny feeling down my spine.................m/albums/v616/THXII38/ebaybusbootsale027.jpg[/IMG]

As long as you get to ride in it why have to own it and pay for it Smiley

Very nice car.
I especially like the term "oh shit handle"

I hear ya. I know some people that have the cash for huge houses, fancy cars and whatever else. but they spend so much time working they never get to enjoy it.

whatever makes you happy.

That's a pretty cool car. And your brother looks A LOT like you.

And yes, it's pretty annoying to have the steering wheel on the wrong side. My dad has a lotus esprit turbo with the steering wheel on the right and it's just wrong. Wether you drive it or when you're only a passenger. You get used to it over time though. I suggest you borrow his car more often Wink.

Does he have personal license plates on both his cars?

I had a friend in high school that drove a 1976 Corvette Stingray that he souped up.  I think he had somewhere in the nieghborhood of 600 horsepower.  I have yet to be in a faster car.

Nice , the Vette is one of my favorite "bang for the buck" sport cars of today. I worked for General Motors dealers as a quality control technician for 8 years.

When the C5 Corvette came out I was invited to the proving grounds out here in Arizona where I got to drive the car on the huge track and was able to get it up to 170 + mph  |D It handled very nice at that speed and the track was made for it (5 mile oval)

Pure driving pleasure.... The old Vette's were great (90 - 96) but weren' as comfortable as the C5. Older Vettes are a bit too cramped for me.

I have driven a few cool Vette's in my life

96 Grand Sport
90 ZR-1
40th anniversary Corvette
60 Corvette
64 and 66 Corvette

A ton of others..

Great car !

Yes, if you were to look at a ratio of horsepower or top speed to price you would see that the corvette is king.

My dad almost bought a similar corvette, but when it came down to it he was just too big for the car.  So he ended up with a cadillac allante.

I have a friend with a souped up RX7 and he did the same thing to me but going 90MPH and I didn't have an "oh handle".  I always feel weird riding with him though because he's always blaring rap in it and I am way too white to be listening to rap music.
