I can't believe I put off seeing Dawn of the Dead (2004 version) this long.  It was pure awesome.  Honestly, I'm not sure if I can pick which one I like better.  There are some differences, and in a way it's not fair to compare them since they were made over 25 years apart.....  Either way, both are high-quality films.  Now I need to get off my butt and finally see Day of the Dead.

I didn't like Day of the Dead very much, but I only got to see it on the Scifi channel so I'd probably like it more if I actually saw the movie on VHS or DVD.  But Dawn of the Dead was just full of awesomeness.

I thought it was pretty good too. I saw it a couple weeks ago. I liked the cameo by Tom Savini and wasn't the guy who had the line from the poster to poseted the guy from the original Night of the Living Dead? or was he from the original Dawn?

The closing credits were pretty creepy. though **spoiler** I kind of wish "someone" would have made it.

I was watching Van Helsing last night and it had the trailer for Shaun of the Dead. looks interesting, was that any good?

Shaun of the Dead is definitely worth seeing.  When it came out, a lot of people were hyping it up a ton.  The "romantic comedy with zombies" sounded hilarious.  Don't expect much from that line, because the "romantic comedy" part really isn't significant in any way that a couple isn't in any zombie movie.  But, as a zombie movie it is really good - formulaic, but a lot of fun to watch.  I think I gave it an 8/10 on the IMDB.  I definitely recommend seeing it.

they never actually showed anyone who left on the boat dying but it certainly appeared as though they did. I only saw it once, maybe I missed something.

[hidden style=1 title=Hidden Text] Yeah, everyone dies.  Everyone.  So, it should be TraderJake's favorite movie. [/hidden]

I also still need to watch Shaun of the Dead...only heard good things about it...Dawn of the Dead was not too bad...I also thought House of the Dead was pretty funny to watch...very original with its random "action" flashes from House of the Dead II (Dreamcast)! Wink

the funniest thing about House of the Dead was how a bunch of punk kids going to a rave suddenly  become weapons and martial arts experts once the zombies attack.

plus it had Clint Howard.

if Carl Lewis was a zombie I suspect he'd be quite fast. If i were a zombie I would be slow.
