After searching around town for a few months for a copy of this I found out there are at least 3 of them locally. Finally was able to pry one out of someones hands after weeks of harassment!

I have splurged a bit since I started getting paid at my new job. I haven't had too much time to really go deal hunting but that hasn't stopped me from finding a few.

First, a pair of Model 2 Saturn controllers for $5 each. Player 2 no longer has to suffer with a 3D controller while I whoop their ass in Fighters Megamix.

Second, I've gone a little PS3 crazy in the last couple weeks. Most of these were from Gamestop, except Sonic and EDF.

I've been too busy looking for a place to move into on the weekends, and I haven't been able to hit the garage sale circuit yet.

I've been bugging all 3 of them each time I see them to sell to me. I knew one of them wasn't gonna break but was confident I could pry it out of one of the other twos hands.

@Shaggy - supposed to be a very good figher for the GameCube and also one of the hardest to find retail releases.

Nice snags Psycho. The Saturn pad is one of my all time favorite controllers. I'm also digging that PS3 pad. Is it HORI?

Yeah its the HORI Fight Commander. My favorite feature so far is the ability to tilt the D-pad 10 or 20 degrees.

@wildbil52: Nice! I have heard of people using computer monitors as well. It's getting harder and harder to even find CRTs around here.

I need to find a 17" LCD monitor for a project of mine. I went to 2 Goodwills and a thrift, and the Goodwills had 0 monitors (or even TVs) and the thrift only had CRTs. Annoying, but I'll have to order one online.

I did, however, actually find something interesting at the Goodwill. A copy of Halo, Halo 2, and Metroid Prime with Bonus Prime 2 demo. Also, Devil May Cry and Disney Epic Mickey guides.

At last! I found one without that weird white stuff in the center ring! I wonder what that stuff is, and why it happens.

I have seen it happen personally for two different reasons:

Once when I went to take a gamecube game out of its case, the case kept hold of the disc rather tightly, and when I pulled harder on the disc, the bottom ring separated from the top one and had some bending pressure applied during the struggle, creating the appearance of white.

The other reason has happened dozens of times, and it occurs when resurfacing the disc. The compound used for resurfacing gets in between the rings and looks white when it dries.

Is it necessarily a bad thing when it happens, or can it be harmless?
