apparently kojima did a tour here in 2008, promoting and signing MGS4, so it checks out. condition is way better than the one on my shelf i got at release. no idea why anyone would keep it in this nice a shape for ~9 years then sell it off to gamestop who practically gave it away.

Good for you but WHAT??!!??

I picked up a couple odds and ends.

Duracell AAA & AAA battery recharger with 2AAA and 2AA batteries on clearance at Walgreens for $2.50

There was a class action lawsuit involving Redbox and Walmart.. long store short I received a Walmart giftcard and bought this game for $0.80:

Eizo 1931 Monitor free from work. I'm going to hook up a Dreamcast to it.

Gamestop has 4Gb 360s for $60 so I used a Christmas gift card I had. This is my fourth 360 and hopefully the last one I need to buy:

I found myself at Savers while my car's oil was being changed and found the following for $10 total:

* Wii Power Supply
* Wii Sensor Bar
* Wii Remote
* Wii Numchuck

I was able to use these to get the second Wii up and running for my son:

I stopped at Walmart for some cat litter and found this in the clearance bin:

Walmart...has a clearance for video games? Mine just puts them in a special section and leaves them there until they rot. Still have PS2 games in my local store.

@Shadow Kisuragi: The place them in to a bin at my local Walmart. The funny thing is after a while they kill the item in the system which effectively resets the price. This is why you can still find PS2 or older games for $60+.

I actually had a decent haul from Goodwill and I even left some stuff there.  Kabookii, Sonic, Rippin' Riders and Driven were $2 a piece.  All the PS games were $1.  Sadly, Saga Frontier has writing on it and is disc only.  The case is for Vigilante 8 2nd Offense.  Someone need a case?

Grabbed this while thrifting last week. If anyone needs it, pm me. I don't need to keep it.

Hi!

I've been in serious lurker mode lately. Super busy all the time for the last couple months, I think it will pay off at some point but some days I measure my free time in seconds  Undecided

So, going all the way back to Christmas:

Hadoken keyring light yells "Hadouken!!!" and flickers the light before becoming lit. Seems like the most awesome thing ever to me.

Officially licensed Tetris journal has page edges like this.

Issue 12 of RETRO magazine arrived! So, now, just over 3 years into a 2 year long subscription, the Kickstarter is fulfilled. It is here though, yay! I don't know if you've followed the drama but there was some, apparently.

This issue is all interviews other than the header page. And look at the super low number of contributors, a far lower number than the first issues. I subscribed for year "3" a while back, we'll see where it goes. No disparaging remarks here, I'm just along for the ride.

For Christmas my wife got me a 3DSXL! YAY! It's really the only handheld I thought I would like. I have a bunch, including a few PSPs but the 3DS XL seems awesome to me and the others more novel (just never have reason to play games on-the-go I guess). Pretty happy to have it and now I can say I have a current gen console (other than PC) until the Switch comes out next month, heh heh.

For some reason my wife didn't get me any games with it, ha, so I bought Outrun 3D and Steam World Dig from the online store. Steam World was short and Outrun arcade-y (obviously), I was left with nothing to play because my wife told me not to buy anything until my birthday, being super busy anyways it didn't matter much but that was tough. All my other games are packed up at the moment (busy life remember ^^^) and I was left with nothing to play other than....Imgur I guess? Birthday showed up and she got me those other two games......oh! I forgot to take a pic of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars that I found while out on my b-day, so now there is all sorts of games to fill those seconds of free time I have to play them.

Super happy with the 3DS though. I leave 3D on all the time because it's awesome to the max.

Found yet another Intellivison game, also while out on my b-day. Somewhere around 45 to go.

@nupoile: A Nintendo game, published by Coleco, for the Mattel Intellivision. Gotta love the 80's.

Who say's Nintendo won't put their games on other consoles huh?   laugh

Actually the guy at the store was kinda confused by it, more about if it was a Coleco(vision) game or an Intellivision game. I talked to him about it for a bit explaining Atari, Coleco and INTV consoles with all their cross pollination; and it's not like he didn't know his stuff, just that no one knows everything.

Six year old is watching me type this and I'm not allowing all the smilies she wants (she wants me to use them all) but she is demanding I put some in this message:
