At 271 genesis games Sad

Nice work on getting there, that's about halfway to having all the Sega genesis games, right? I love the Accolade boxes they made for Sega Genesis. I wish all the Sega Genesis Cardboard boxes would have gone that route.
Thanks! Yeah I think I'm getting close to half way. And definitely, I really like these accolade boxes and have been specifically trying to get them all recently, I think I'm only missing Summer Challenge and Double Dragon (and variants).

Couple good pickups at Conngo this past weekend.  Russlyman put aside the Mario Lemieux puck for me and there were another couple of hockey games I didn't own including my first Japanese PS2 hockey game.

Finally here.  Had a box of stuff to trade at Conngo and I traded some of it for the Wii U Zelda system and Mario 3d World.  Once I'm done with that I'll probably play through Wind Waker HD.  Currently can't find my copy of Skyward Sword Sad

Got the Die Hard Trilogy from singlebanana.  Deadly Creatures is one that I've wanted for a long time, finally broke down and bought it from ebay.

I forgot I had this pre-ordered, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless:

Hey now,

Finally mined a decent vein of gamin' treasure after a relative dry spell:

- Sealed Skylanders Swap Force Fire Bone Hot Dog figure: After two years of fruitless searching, I happened upon this by chance at the local Toys R Us while shopping for a New 3DS XL. Speaking of which:

- I decided to pick one up at G*meSt*p instead, specifically the exclusive Hyrule Edition. Bought it mostly with funds from selling the other 3DSes in my collection, along with some severance pay from my soon-to-be former employers.

My next pickup reminded me of ixtaileddemonfox, wherever he has gone:

This would have gone great with those Mary-Kate and Ashley games he loved so much.

Rounding out the haul:

- Sealed Interact PulsePak for Game Boy Pocket, $2.49: a sort-of rumble pack for your GBP.

- PS2 slim console, $5.99 $4.79: Figured I could use a backup in case my current one fails.

- Aaaand finally, a game of the non-vidya kind, the rather unimaginatively-named Torpedo Game:

Yet another Epoch brand game added to my collection, and it's reminiscent of my fave board game, Battleship(s). Well, actually it's more reminiscent of Torpedo Run!, which I also really dug.

All right, back to you.

My wife got this for me from eBay. $10 shipped and I don't have to buy a Wii U just to get it!

Nice, man.  It's a nice looking figure.  If I were to ever break my anti-amiibo oath, it would probably be for ROB.

I'm actually wanting to import a Japanese one to go with my NA one. It's in the Famicom ROB colors.

Hey, guys!  Real life has been keeping me away, but I have some scores I just gotta share.  Maybe I'll start doing videos, too...

Anyway, on with the scores!

Bucky O'Hare
G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero
G.I. JOE: The Atlantis Factor

Stanley: The Search for Dr. Livingston
Tiny Toon Adventures: Cartoon Workshop (Sealed)
American Gladiators
Natsume Championship Wrestling
FuncoLand sleeve
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Pac-Mania
Battletoads & Double Dragon

A nearly unbelievable lot of 200 NES games walked into my LGS last week, and I walked in just after they did.  Bucky was the best of the lot.  The top label has peeled slightly, but has not torn.  Glad to have some heavy hitters off the wishlist.  The shop owner's my friend, so I got these for about 75-80% of ebay prices.  We negotiated a lot price, but I remember Bucky was $80 of the total.  I was able to pay it off with store credit from some flips, so I broke my rule about not paying more than $50 for a single cart.

The weekend after that, I went to the flea market...

Starflight (CIB) $10
Zillion (SMS, cart only, forgot to get a pic of it!) $5
Crackdown (CIB) $2
Mirror's Edge (CIB) $2

Blade Eagle 3-D (CIB) $5
MediEvil II (disc, case, and backing art) $10
MediEvil II (Manual, picked up on ebay after the fleas market) $10

Maze Hunter 3-D (CIB) $5
Quickshot VII $1

This was one of my most fruitful flea market trips where I was buying for my collection rather than to flip.  Starflight and MediEvil II mean the most to me, but there's really not a bad deal in the lot.  Psyched to go again this weekend.

Cheers.

Wow Ikariniku, that's some great grabs there, especially that Bucky O'Hare.

Yeah, I'm definitely grateful for the finds, believe me.  I forgot to mention that the guy who traded in the huge NES lot to my local shop said that he was a collector selling off his collection to buy a car.  That probably explains the high quality of my pick-ups.  I wonder if he sold off anything online or on forums before he came into the shop...

I thought Bucky O'Hare was beyond my reach.  I had been considering buying the Famicom cart just to have it.  This is the true joy of having a local retro game shop.  You never know what will walk in and what deals you can get.

I've neglected to post my scores in here this summer. I'm going to try to be good about it moving forward. I will say that I had 3 pretty big scores this summer.

The first was a mega RPG lot (~25 games) at a yard sale. I pretty much gave the guy everything I had in my pocket (just under $80). I've actually traded a lot of it away for more than I paid. Some highlights were: Wild Arms 5 on PS2, Mana Khemia and Guide on PS2, Shin Megami Tensei Persona on PSP, Sands of destruction on DS. Eternal Sonata on XBox 360. All of the unnamed games were still pretty desirable titles (a pretty even mix of PS2, PSP and DS.

The second was a stack of very desirable, if not rare N64 games, at a flea market. There was no junk and I paid just over $20 for Mario 64, Bomberman 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Goldeneye, Donkey Kong 64 and Starcraft 64.

The third was at the same flea market. There's an old guy who usually has crazy prices (i.e., Super Mario Bros 3 for $35). He had a bunch of games in zilocks and I found a gem with a relatively tiny price tag -- Dragon Fighter ($20)

Onto some recent pickups.

Two weeks ago, I found a bunch of high end titles that were just out of my range, so I decided to dip my toe in the long box 3DO pool (and picked up a PS2 game on top of that)

This week, I wanted some horror themed stuff in light of halloween. Selection was limited but I got the following
