Got this in a trade with FibroFreak!
It's time to call me crazy again because the picture's not showing up. Tongue

It's... it's totally you. I totally didn't fix it again.

Not sure what's happening. I even tested the link in Incognito mode to make sure it would show up. Smiley

Bickman's pic shows up just fine for me in the original post (great score, BTW!), but it doesn't show up in the quote from the post below. Weird.

It's because it quoted the old image link. Fixed.

Besides resale stuff, I managed to pick up a few other goodies.

The FDS needs a belt (at least), so I'm going to have a crack at it. Hopefully I won't have to figure out the alignment part.

Is the disk system an add on for the Famicom?

Hey now,

Struck a vein of vidya goodness earlier this week.

Thanks to a savings pass, I actually ended up paying about $18.00 for the GameCube and DS Lite.

Then there was the $9.00 I blew on this stack:

I spent a fair sight more on these CIB goodies:

- Monster Hunter Ultimate 3 & 4 for 3DS, $9.95 each

- Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Edition, $9.95

- Blokus Portable: Steambot Championship for PSP, $0.95: Just when you thought they were done doing westernized cover artwork of Japanese video game characters...

- Doom-Cubed Limited Collector's Edition, $1.95: I bought this for the slipcover so I could make my own copy complete.

 - Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, $19.99: a sealed cutout? Is such a thing possible?

Aaaand that's it for now; back to you.

Yea they are usually like review copies given to magazines, bloggers, stores and the like they're sealed but cut out so the places cant sell them. I guess its cheaper than making a print run of "NOT FOR RESALE" copies.

Also nice scores, it's been a while since Ive seen prices like that at a thrift.

Oh, okay then. It's not the first time I've discovered a sealed cutout game, and probably won't be the last. Considering my locale, I really shouldn't be surprised to encounter these from time to time. I also come across quite a few Emmy-screener DVD sets in my thrift crawls for some reason.

Speaking of locales...

The first few days of this week were some of my best vidya thrift-scores in a long while by far. Coincidentally, this hot streak began with the arrival a prominent RF Gentleman, and ended after he left. Sadly, due to my sleep schedule conflicting with his work schedule, and vice-versa (he was here on business), we were unable to meet in person.  Sad If I'd have known he'd be such an awesome good-luck charm, I probably would've tried to kidnap him and confine him in some remote location to keep my good fortune going. I'd have been the Kathy Bates to his James Caan, you know? I've got Bates' build, so at least I'd look the part on my end of the deal. But I'd never resort to the foot-breaking deal. Oh no, I'd have been a lot more sadistic: I'd have forced him to watch YouTube videos of... but that would be giving away too much. Let's just say it was a blessing in disguise that we never got any face time, and leave it at that.  evilhappy

On a more serious note, here are some strategy guides I picked up during the aforementioned thrifting hot streak:

Not a bad haul for fifteen bucks, yes-no?

All right, back to you...

Long time to hunt a good copy of this one down. Makes the last 4 games I need for TG16 seem super easy now though!

Amazing how good that looks. Congrats on knocking out another rough one.
