I don't even know how it's possible you guys find anything at a chain thrift store. Everything here immediately goes to a backroom or another location for online auction, and when it doesn't it's priced through the roof (10%+ eBay price). I finally started seeing X360 and PS3 games at the local Goodwill, but they're all $3 or less GameStop games.

Speaking of stuff like that happening... Remember this?
I spotted a boxed Atari 2600 and a boxed Commodore (not sure which one) in a charity shop yesterday.
They won't sell them in-store because they're putting them on eBay instead. Sad
I still haven't seen the store list them on eBay. Last time I looked, they were still sitting on the same shelf in the same position they were in when I first saw them.

Hey now,

I don't even know how it's possible you guys find anything at a chain thrift store. Everything here immediately goes to a backroom or another location for online auction, and when it doesn't it's priced through the roof (10%+ eBay price). I finally started seeing X360 and PS3 games at the local Goodwill, but they're all $3 or less GameStop games.

I’ve been rather surprised by my recent successes at the local chain-thrifts, particularly one of the nearby Savers. It’s likely due to several factors:

-   The aforementioned Savers has been getting in so much stuff lately that some of the more valuable flippable items are getting past the pricers… or they just want to move it out ASAP so the sorting room isn’t so backed up with excess stock.

-   A lot of the people at the Savers, including the sorters and pricers, are new hires. Needless to say, they probably don’t know what a lot of the items they’re pricing is really worth… and with any luck, they never will.

-   Over the past couple weeks, there’s been a big focus on moving out the Halloween costumes and accessories, allowing less time to focus on other things.

-   I know the general time frame when the entertainment media is rolled out onto the floor, and I make every effort to be there around that time frame. Gotta stay ahead of the other thrift-pickers after all…

Needless to say, if it’s been this good up to now, I can’t wait to see how it’ll be from the day after U.S. Thanksgiving all the way through the first week of the New Year. Just a flood of last-minute tax-deductible donations, priced a bit more reasonably so they’ll move out more quickly than usual. It really is the most wonderful time of the year…

But, enough about the thrifting scene. Let me show you my first-ever Amazon Locker pick-up:

If you’re looking for a good ape of the Mega Man X series with a dollop of Gunstar Heroes mixed in for good measure, then Azure Striker Gunvolt is right up your alley...

I'll see your appropriately-colored PSP and raise you this:

I will give that your price beats mine, but the GBA looks a little beat-up. I can't tell if that 6 is etched into it or not though. I also see a dent to the left of the Nintendo logo. Also, Super Mario Advance 2 is a great game. Smiley

The "6" was in grease pencil, which the local Goodwills typically use to help sort and price their donated goods before they hit the sales floor. It came off with a bit of rubbing alky. The "dent" to the left of the logo was a bit of clear packaging tape, which came right off with no fuss. The area under the price tag, however, is a bit scratchy. That being said, I wouldn't mind having a red-shelled PSP, myself. It's a helluva lot more interesting than the silver one I own...

BTW I stumbled upon this find in the store's toy section, out in the open, with tons of shoppers milling about. Usually they have them locked up in the display case, at three times the price I paid or more. I'm guessing it hadn't been there very long before I found it.

You snooze, you lose...

Also bought a cassette tape case (which I've filled with MS and MD games):

I was up late Sunday watching the World Series and before I went to bed I scrolled through my phone and found these on Craigslist.
I paid 45 for the NES and games.  I paid 70 for the N64 lot. It pays to stay up late I guess. LOL

I don't need the original to play this, do I?

Pre-Sequel is a standalone game. You're good there.

Cool.  I thought for one of these games you needed the original for some reason.

There were DLC discs for the original and 2. This is actually a game set in an earlier time period.
