So today I went to Tsunami bomb, and on Thursday I went to Guttermouth.  Both shows kicked ass, and what makes it even better the venue they were at (both were at the same place) had arcade games.

Guttermouth:  the mosh pits were freaking insane, they were something you'd expect to see at a metal show (although it would be weak).  I got to crowd surf a few times, got on stage.  The crowd sucked pretty hard-core though they kept spiting on the bands and trying to start fights, which really pissed me off.  Everybody (including the band commented on how crazy I was to keep going back into the pit. Now lest see if I cant remember all the hits I took
4 to the face
12 to the rest of the head
1 to the throat
1 clothes line
1 to the shoulder
1 kick to the balls (not fun)
And I fell down to many times to count

Tsunami bomb: the mosh pits here were pretty weak but I did get to crowd surf a lot.  The first two bands sucked, but 3rd and Tsunami bomb were awesome.  The crowd at this show was pretty cool; they didn't pull any stupid shit and I didn't take as many punches and kicks.

I went crowd surfing about 12 time's total (9 during Tsunami bomb).  On my second to last time crowd surfing I was dropped on my head and blacked out.  I remember jumping on the stage and was caught, they passed me around a little, then I was falling and thinking “oh shit this is going to hurt” then I was coming to next to an Area 51 arcade game with my friends hooding me on their shoulders, I sat down for the rest of the song, and once the next song started playing I was back up in the pit and then on stage jumping back into the crowd.

Yeah...agreed.  That's also why I go to ska shows when I can.  There's (usually) no mosh pits, just lots of people skanking.  Now THAT is fun.  And tiring as hell.   Tongue

I love watching mosh pits. I just don't want to be in one.

I love ska shows and skanking, but I prefer to mosh.  My thought process is "if I'm not so sore I don't want to move the next day, I didn't have enough fun" unless it's a ska concert, then I don't have to be sore.

I don't go into mosh pits because I'm afraid I'm going to hurt someone.  The one time I went in one I rang some kids bell pretty bad.

Most people look at me and think "there's no way he's going into the pit, he's too small" but then I do and they're happy because they think they can launch me far, and holy crap they're right.
