I'm trying to finally finish up my Dark Souls playthrough before I jump into Enslaved again. Or I might use it as a distraction if I get stuck/frustrated in Dark Souls. Either way I should be starting late this week.

Eh, put that down and play a fun game...

This is very uncharted meets God of war and all the monkey king games, I like it. Only on glitch so far, Trip jumped off a wall and floated up for a while, good thing there is no call damage

Way to be, Doug!

I'm about halfway through. It's as good as I remember.

Trip and Monkey are so frigging sexy that between the two of them, and the game's beautifully colorful environments, it can be as hard to stop playing as it is to take your eyes off the screen.

Congrats Doug!  Looking to dive a little deeper into the game this week

I'm sure it wasn't a common issue.  I've always had weird problems with my PS3.  I think I got a lemon.

Did you play it very close to launch? I played it probably about a year after so maybe it was something they patched
No, it was out for a few years already.  I just had the Jak and Daxter collection freeze on me yesterday and that came out in 2012.  Not a game that would make the machine labour hard too.

I finished Enslaved the other day on the PC.  I enjoyed it for the most part but I found the camera was wonky at times causing Monkey to go in bizarre directions.   Gameplay was a little stiff and simplistic for my liking.  I'm more into Ninja Gaiden/Devil May Cry/Bayonetta style of hack 'n slash.  Look forward to following along here and see what you guys think of it!

I made it to chapter 12 so far. I do find the gameplay stiff and simplistic as BuriedOnMars suggested but the game is fast paced. I would say this is the video game equivalent of a summer blockbuster.

Yeah not much of a challenge but the story was enough to keep me playing to the end

@Douglie007: I agree. The characters keep this from being just another action game.

I made it to the middle of the last chapter and had to stop. I'm hoping to finish the game tonight.

This is going from memory from a few months ago, but I wanted to contribute to the discussion.

I love the setting of this game. The look of nature reclaiming it's territory and tearing apart steel towers is great.

I like the combat. It's true it is a bit simplistic, but I like the combination of melee and ranged attacks with the staff.

I hate Trip. I really dislike games that make me escort a useless character around. This is why I disliked Ico. At first, Trip was alright (if you can get over the whole enslavement bit) - she provided some good distractions and felt like she had a purpose in the game. However, by the 10th time I heard "Monkey, help!" when she couldn't make a jump, I wanted to punt her off a rooftop.

Hit Chapter 5 yesterday. Boy, I suck at these modern games. Playing on Normal.

I finished the game last night. I'm short on time so I'm going to start Shining Force 2 soon.
