Went to the car boot sales, very hot for England. Not much retro stuff about, and what was on offer was poor, scratched, or way, way too common, i.e FIFA 2000 etc

anyhoo - for £10 I bought a huge box of lego, that I could just about carry home. Over 16kilos in weight, I think.

Smiley I'm not quite sure what I am going to do with it.  I'll probably sort it into smaller piles, and sell it on eBay - after I've built a huge space ship type castle type thing, for old times sake. LOL

Yeah I still get out my old LEGO and Micro Machines sometimes. Before Video Games came along those were my main sources of entertainment. I own about every star wars Micro Machine set there is. Probably near 500 bucks worth. I'm still looking for the old LEGO castle sets. The good ones from before LEGO got all chinsy.

I would have had a heart attack if I had seen that pile of Lego's as a kid.

Heh my bro finally parted with about 3x that many legos last year.
He still has a pile that size at my dads and this desk thing you can build on.

Legos kicked ass as a kid.
They aer still pretty damn cool IMO.

I love Legos. My wife and I have collected them off and on over the years. I've been picking them a lot again since I've been collecting video games. I come across them a lot when I'm out combing the thrifts. As I know how damn expensive they are from when I first started collecting them it's hard to pass them up at the cheap prices the thrifts sell them for.

I've found bags of loose Legos, partial sets in boxes, complete sets in boxes and even sealed sets. I've also found many of the Lego Bionicle sets and several of the Lego board games.

Nice find THX. you oughta keep for those rainy afternoons when you've got nothing to do. Yeah I'm 37 and still dig Legos.

Nice find, I have picked up several lots over the years as well.  Mostly for the kids to play with.  Of course if they need Dad to help build something I can't refuse!!  Here's a good site for legos http://www.bricklink.com/ .  They have tons of lego info usefull for parting or playing.

this Lego thread inspired me. I was going to build a space ship but built a church instead.
