Friday the 13th completed.  Repetitive at times. It does have an endearing quality to it that can't put my finger on, though. BTW this endscreen image of Jason slumped on the floor made me laugh. LOL.

My next licensed claim is Total Recall

Three Stooges is done! Got really lucky and hit the dollar sign and got 1000 twice. Not a bad game.  But not much to it.

I'll do Mickey in Numberland next.

Are the Tengen games not on the list? I don't see Toobin' on the list anywhere, but Pac-Man and Tetris are on the list.

Those are not licensed games.  Pacman, rbi baseball and gauntlet was the only ones Nintendo licensed

Mickeys Adventure in Numberland done... the game us good for kids learning numbers.  Now I'll learn my numbers with Mickey safari in letterland.

Only the licensed games are on the list so no Toobin' or Tengen Tetris. You're seeing the Nintendo Published Tetris. The only Tengen games that had licensed versions were Pac-Man, RBI Baseball, and Gauntlet.

I'm gonna relinquish The Black Bass for now. After hours of finding all the bass spots on the first lake and learning how to effectively lure fish it still feels like all types of fish are attracted to all your lures. This makes it pretty hard to keep your average bass weight up since your never sure if you want to waste time on a bigger target or not. In the end I don't find this games very fun and I can't really justify wasting anymore time on it.

I haven't played Adventures in the Magic Kingdom in a long time. If it's still open I'll take that as my franchise game.

Just beat Panic Restaurant!

It's a fun little game but boy does it throw some BS at you in the last couple of levels. I had to do a few practice runs beforehand as I kept getting stuck on stage 5 (the freezer), and on stage 6 there's a jump that you have to be pixel-perfect on or else you fall to your death. That part alone ate up most of my lives and I was able to get to Ohdove with just one life left. The final boss is pathetically easy BTW. But still, it's a decent way to kill half an hour. I just wish it didn't cost like $500-600 for a loose cart LOL.

To help with this month's goal and in keeping with the theme of horrendously expensive NES games, I'm gonna go for The Jetsons: Cogswell's Caper next.

For a licensed claim, would like to go with Flintstones, Rescue of Dino and Hoppy (I know it's the cheap one, but it's one I actually have)

The Karate Kid done.

This was my first time playing this game. You know what? Call me crazy, but I actually kind of like it. It has a ton of flaws and isn't something I would recommend to others, but I sort of enjoyed it. The final stage almost made me rage quit though.

@Silent Scythe - No problem. Maybe someone else will get some pleasure out of Black Bass later in the year. I've updated your claim to Magic Kingdom

@douglie007 - I grew up playing Snoopy's Silly Sports, other than the pole across the river event I really enjoy the game. Hope you have some fun with it

@Grayghost - awesome man!! Can't wait to dive in myself this month!

@ApolloBoy - well done! I think if you stick with your theme of crazy expensive games you'll find that most of them are decent, not overly challenging games. Little Samson is pretty special, but outside of that a lot of the other $200+ games are just ok and typically fairly easy wins.

@EZ Racer - You got it!

@Disposed Hero - I love hearing stuff like this. There's a lot of games that I feel the exact same way about. Sometimes I just feel bonded to a game for having endured it to completion and after that it holds a special place in my collection. Nothing wrong with enjoying a little jank from time to time.

I played quite a bit of Empire Strikes Back tonight and it's a lot harder than Star Wars was. I had a lot of trouble getting past Dagobah initially, but after many attempts (the only 1up I found in the entire game was in Dagobah so I could keep trying endlessly as long as I collected it) I think I'm feeling pretty good about getting through there consistently now. I was able to make it to the final level in the bottom of Cloud City and then just didn't have any more time to play. Hoping I can get to cloud city with all or least most of my lives tomorrow and be able to get through it on my first attempt. I was really impressed with how Star Wars actually followed the plot of the movie, but with Empire Strikes Back I'm really impressed with how these people take iconic moments from the movie and do the total opposite of them. It's like a bizzaro version of Empire. I'll elaborate more tomorrow with a few screen shots of some of the stuff I'm talking about once I have a video captured of the completion.

Speaking of completions, now that I have my video pieced together for Bases Loaded 4 I know that I spent somewhere between 50-60 hours on that game in February. With that game eating up most of my month as well as the week I was away for a quick family trip this is all I was able to take down for the month. 3 of them are very long games, but still a little depressing to look at. Gonna have to beef up my March numbers!

@DisposedHero - I wouldn't call you crazy. I enjoy the game too. I say that, with the caveat that I'm definitely wearing nostalgia goggles, due both to my fandom of The Karate Kid, and the fact that a childhood friend had this game, and we played it a ton. That said, despite its flaws, it's still fun, and isn't nearly as bad as some people say. It's somewhat unique for its time, and does enough different than other action platformers to stand out.
