Beat Home Alone. This game runs on a fixed time limit. All you need to do is avoid the two robbers for 20 minutes. It turns out that if you get them outside of the dining room, then move back and forth in and out of the back door until the time runs out.

Finished off Prince of Persia tonight. Actually was getting easier near the end until stage 12, that one was brutal with a few very precise platforming areas. Very punishing game overall. If it wasn't for the combat I think it would be a fun game, but that part of the game really killed it for me. Just running around, jumping, climbing, avoiding traps and looking for panels to open door would have been fun enough on it's own I think.

Also beat the gambling mode on Rock n Ball so all that is left for me is to beat the main table's highscore which seems to be randomly set between 800,000-1,000,000 points. My best so far is 350,000, but  there I've been getting consistently better scores so I think I can do a good run tomorrow on this. The gambling mode gave me a code to earn 10 balls instead of 3, but I tried to input it a dozen times and couldn't get it to work so I don't know if it's real or not. Would make the 1,000,000 point run a lot easier though if it did.

Try pushing the top worm into the river and jumping on. Get off by the arrow. As the worm goes round grab each heart as it blocks the shooty thing.

Jump back on the worm near the end of the river. As it passes the other worm quickly shoot that and push it one block in as you go past.

Grab the 3 hearts in the middle using the worm to block the shooty thing.

Ride first worm again back to the door.

I did try that already.  Unfortunately, the egg in the water does not block the Medusa's shot.

There's no shame in watching a walkthrough for that level. If you've spent that much time on it, you're going to see diminishing returns. I'm about halfway through Lolo 3, and there are a handful of levels (5 or 6, maybe) that I've watched, because I was stumped, and after multiple attempts, and having people watching my stream offer suggestions as well, we were collectively out of ideas. My problem is execution. I'm stuck on Level 10, Floor 5 in Lolo 3. I know how to do it, I just can't execute it with enough precision to actually get it done. I know the next floor is a boss, and then I'd be on to 11, but I haven't been able to crack it yet.

Have been really busy lately, but wanted to get back into it.  Started Fire 'n Ice today.  Beat the first world, seems fun so far.

Got dominated in Rock n Ball tonight. Best run I had was 400,000, but most were between 100,000-200,000. This was hours of play on the one table. Might have to look into why my code for 10 balls won't input as that would help a ton. Think I'm gonna jump into something slower next maybe Baseball Simulator 1.000.

You remember who? I don't see it on the claimed list, but I've occasionally missed a few. Don't want to step on any toes.

Quick update. Haven't forgotten about the challenge, slowly plugging away at Bases Loaded II, playing 1 or 2 games per day. At this point I've won 52 games, and my goal is to finish before the end of the month.

Finally beat Rock 'n Ball tonight. Tried like hell to get the 10 ball code to work again and just no luck at all, tried a few of the other codes to see if any of them worked and struck out on all of them. Feel like they may be crap and not real codes. Anyway I found a method to load up on extra balls. It was a slow tedious process, but it paid off and after I broke 1,000,000 points I just goofed around on the table for a bit until I finished. This is maybe the best pinball game on the system though. Lots of different modes, plays good, decent mechanics, great multiplayer options. Best bang for your buck in the genre for sure. Main table is a bit uninspired though which kind of sucks. Just took a pic of the highscore from the main table, so I didn't flood the place with pics from all the other modes, but I'll have my video up sometime this weekend if anyone wants to see the other endings.

Silent Service finished. Pretty fun but limited. A representative completion screen, though they all look the same:

So it’s a sub simulation game. You play as an American sub sinking Japanese ships in WW2. Most of the time you will be on the periscope screen from where you steer, dive and shoot. But there are also maps screens and a screen of dials.

Game modes consist of a training mode (sink 4 static ships), 5 scenarios (start right next to a convoy and sink all the ships) and 5 war maps (which are essentially all the same but with different starting ports). The war map mode you move a dot slowly around a map while days of fuel drop down until you have an encounter with a convoy. After sinking the convoy you can either look for more convoys or go to port which ends the game.

Every encounter ultimately plays out the same. Sink the destroyers before they sink you. Then take out the defenceless tankers. This means the game is ultimately very limited. The only real goal is topping the high score board.

Difficulty is changed via a number of options. The harder you make it the higher the score multiplier.

I think this game is crazy cheap and common wherever you are. Worth a quick go. It’s fun for an hour or so. Just don’t expect days or unique content.

Nice Schlibby, you joined the elite ranks of Silent Service players!! I remember being pretty impressed with the variety of control methods you had to learn for each different area of the sub.

I watched Bloodsport today while folding laundry so I figured I'd play Best of the Best to get my Bloodsport NES fix. I beat 9 of the 15 competitors so far and I've trained my fighter to max all of his stats. I am able to challenge the final fighter, and I've tried a few times, but he beats me bad. To be fair though I havn't really taken the time to get good at the game and just found a move I could spam repeatedly on most guys so looks like I might actually have to learn to play to take him down. Hopefully I can figure it out tomorrow.
