That's a rough glitch. Hope you like Casino Kid, I thought it was pretty decent.

Tried Casino Kid last year for a while, good luck with it because while decent it can get tedious. I've been doing a little with Xexyz, not something I'm going to crank out quick, though. Probably get a little bit done at a time.

Been working my way through a couple longer games as of late. Got a decent handle on Ring King now, but it's going to be a bit longer as I grind out stats. But today I was able to finish off Faria: A world of Mystery & Danger. It wasn't bad. A little Dragon Warrior mixed with some Zelda, but not quite as good as either. Has like the best king I've met in any game though. Once you bring back his daughter near the start he's like "

King: "let's have a party bring on the cavier!!"
Knight: "Umm, sire. Everyone in the town has become sick from the cavier..."
King: "probably shouldn't have purchased the cavier from that masked street vendor for cheap...."

A little while later he gets turned to stone and when you try to speak with him there is an animation for his mouth to move when he says ".......".

So for most of the game you're playing as a female warrior who's kicking ass and saving the world. There is a twist near the end where you turn back into a man because you broke the curse that the evil wizard put on you. Pretty big missed opportunity there I felt.

Excellent. I've been plugging away at Destiny of and Emperor for the last couple days. It's really great so far!

Not unless someone else wants to head that up

Many hours invested over this last week (thank you quarantine!) and I was finally able to finish off Destiny of an Emperor!! Absolutely loved it. One of the best battle system on the NES, little to no grinding necessary (and it's actually designed to discourage grinding), cool magic system with the Strategist/Tactics systems, solid story (if you're into the romance of the three kingdoms stuff), great music, tons of generals to recruit and experiment with, a few incredibly neat puzzles such as ramming a prison cell to destroy the door or having to learn a code to input during a boss fight in order to negate a powerful spell, and has an awesome progression system in which once you take over a new palace you invite your leader there and this new palace becomes you're furthest base of operations. Very much deserves to be in the conversation of best NES RPGs in my opinion.

I also took advantage of quarantine.  Casino Kids finally done. ULTIMA Quest for the Avatar will be my next challenge.

After far too many hours of fishing I finally caught enough bass to finish off Black Bass. It took about 5 hours to finally get the hang of reeling in a fish that was more than 10lbs and then the game became more fun, but it's still incredibly monotonous. Glad to be done with that one and hope that Blue Marlin is better!
