What a load of crap. How can you put halo on the same level as Sonic, Zelda and Mario? If people still rave about it in 15 years you might consider it, but now it's just retarded.

Wow, I have to register to vote in this, better yet, I can't vote for Gunpei Yokoi or Yuji Naka! What a load of crap.
I don't think that a walk of fame should have everyday joes vote for these things. God Knows that Lara Croft didn't have the same effect on the industry as say,  Tetris.

Inductees to date are: Nolan Bushnell, Shigeru Miyamoto, Halo, Link (The Legend of Zelda), Mario, and Sonic The Hedgehog.

God fucking dammit...  Halo does NOT deserve a spot on that list.  I don't feel like saying all the same things I typed earlier today, so just look to this link for my reasoning behind this:

This is almost as those game "awards" are. The one Spike had a few years ago was one of the dumbest things I have ever seen.

Lamest choices to vote from ever.  No Dani Bunten (M.U.L.E.), no Ultima series.  Lifetime achievement doesn't have Shigeru Miyamato or Yu Suzuki.

How lame.

Wow.  Halo definitely does not deserve to be on that list, and probably never will deserve to be in my opinion.  The rankings for the next inductees are even worse.  The Sims? Lara Croft?  Will Wright?  Sid Meier?   AHHHGGGG!!!!!!!!  I can't believe these even made it into the voting, nor can I believe that they are actually leading the voting.  Where is Ralph Baer?  Where is Gunpei Yokoi?  Hell, Trip Hawkins is more important than Sid Meier.

This is a stupid list.  The general public definitely should not have been involved in the voting.

Arghhhhh, The Sims...........

To show you how dumb the general public can be, In an (almost) related incident, apparently Sony Ericsson did a poll for the public's greatest song of all time. First global favourite was 'We Are The Champions' by Queen. Ok, it's not Bohemian Rhapsody, but no big alarm here.

Do you know what was 2nd?

Remember... this is a poll for the GREATEST song of ALL TIME.

It was...

Britney Spears - Toxic.

Yeah.  Read all about it: http://game.itn.co.uk/news/1931478.html

They should have a waiting period before a game or person is eligible for this award. sort of like bseball or football.

5 years after it's release for a game
10 years after designing thier first game for a person,
etc.

I looked at the website in the link and if you read the home page it says that walkofgame is owned and funded by a company called SCA Promotions. I went to the SCA Promotions website. It is (as the name implies) a promotions company. They are paid by 2nd parties to promote products. So are we really surprised that Halo is on the walk of game list? If you really are that shocked then the mega-conglomerates have pulled the wool over your eyes hardcore.

P.S. I've never seen a "top ten" or "best ever" list that wasn't grossly biased somehow in any major publication.
