Anyone a hardcore Super Metroid player?

And I mean like speed runs, NBMB runs, low percent runs, RBR etc.

My cuz was pretty hardcore but i don't think he got that into it.

I am pretty sure he did attempt a speed run but i to do a speed run you have to be pretty successful at getting nearly no items and being able to skip "essential" items like super missles and such.

You can't skip Super Missiles. You can get them without facing Spore Spawn though by mockballing.

The only necessary items for beating the game would be-

Morphing Ball   (1)
       Missiles        (1 or 2)
       Bombs           (1)
       Energy Tanks    (3)
       Charge Beam     (1)
       Super Missiles  (2 or 3)
       Varia Suit      (1)
       [Speed Boots OR Ice Beam]

       Gravity Suit    (1)
