Not true. A hundred thousand dollar bill is still used to transfer funds between banks of the federal reserve.

Not true! Everything above the $100 was destroyed by the government.  Everything is electronic now.

Code:

Printing of other high-denomination bills was discontinued in 1946, but continued to circulate until 1969, when they were officially withdrawn.

Circulation of high-denomination bills was halted in 1969 by executive order of President Richard Nixon, in an effort to combat organized crime.

Source.

Way to edit your post Trader Jake!!! Now the quote doesn't make sense.

Additionally:
Various $3 bills have been released, generally poking fun at politicians or celebrities such as Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, or Hillary Clinton; this likely stems from the American idiom "queer as a three-dollar bill".

This one is pretty damn cool.  Much better than the current bill.

More cool old bills:

Not true! 100,000 dollar bills can be found in Government Museums. You have to preserve history, after all.

Can't you open a window?

I could...but it's about 15 degrees farenheit outside right now.  I like it about 65-ish, and my family likes it about 75, so opening the window would be a little too cold, even for me.

I wish I could remember the technical reason, or remember any of thermodynamics, but having the AC on in the winter during cold weather is NOT good for the system. Perhaps another engineer in training on this board would be able to provide a more technical answer on that.

I'll just say this-- an AC unit works by exchanging heat from your house with the outside, or in layman's terms, it pumps heat from the house. In order to exchange this heat most AC systems utilize a fan to facilitate moving the heat from the coils to the outside. This process "cools" the liquid as it moves through the coils, and in the process you recieve condensation on the coils. This is not a problem in the summer when the temperatures are above freezing. However, come winter you do have freezing temperatures, and as the condensation builds up it will freeze the outside of the coils, thus making the ability to exchange heat with the outside greatly impaired. This kills the efficiency of the system, and the compressor must work harder to move the gas.

My suggestion for you -- don't run AC in the winter. Instead, try running just the fan only. Most AC units have that option, and the fan should bring in air from the outside still, or at least circulate air without freezing the coils.

As long as you were running the fan only, it should be fine, but if AC unit was running (ie- the compressor), it would kill the system.

WTF- Did i kill the unrelated thoughts thread?

Are we too absent-minded to think of something other than AC units?!

DO WE NEED A REVOLUTION? DO WE NEED SOMETHING UNRELATED?!

Well, Microsoft sucks, and haha, their system sold like shit in Japan, and none of those poor Amercians can get those systems because we all know that they will collect dust on the shelves.

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

Everybody needs to go out and buy a DS, Mariokart DS, and Animal Crossing right now, and contribute their friend codes to the Nintendo Wifi Connection Thread.

NOW. Go to the WAL MART. Buy a DS. Buy one for your friend. Give them out for Christmas like they were Fruitcakes (a Fruitcake that you love). BUY BUY BUY!

Now, I hope that was unrelated and scatterbrained enough for all of you, and will incite some anger, which translates into posting in this lonely thread.

I hate people that get up tight over the use of the phrase "Merry Christmas" and hate anything Christmas related because they don't celebrate Christmas.  If you don't celebrate Christmas, that's cool.  I don't mind seeing Menorahs up in stores or on peoples homes.  If you come up to me and wish me a happy Kwanzaa, I'm not gonna get pissy and self rightoeus because I'm not black.  If you want to walk around singing Ramadan songs, that's fine with me.

The political correctness in this country is out of control.
*This semi-rant comes because some broad at a mall over the weekend got offended that I wished her a Merry Christmas*

By the way, I like snow.  And lots of it.  I have a 4x4 so it makes driving for me fun.
