Come to Cincinnati, our local radio station 700 WLW, the 50,000 Watt monster (you can probably get in it Detroit), has launched a crusade against the term Happy Holidays, and for the term Merry Christmas. In this city, we have two sides that have starkly different views on Christmas. On the Westside, people are uber-conservative, don't take kindly to uber Political Correctness, and are more than willing to say Merry Christmas. Westsiders are so fond of Christmas that one of the cities still puts out a Nativity scene (one with a $20000 baby Jesus that was snatched). On the Eastside, people are really afraid of the ACLU, and the risks apparently associated with Merry Christmas.

My view is this, happy holidays is nice, but people should not get offended should they be wished a Merry Christmas. This season revolves around Christmas, and to pretend as though it does not is assinide.

I hate these TV commercials where they are singing "We wish you a happy holidays" and other stupid crap.

It is pretty damn retarded.
I don't see how putting up a Xmas tree or saying "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Chanukkah" or "Happy Kwanzaa" could offend people.
Its not like anyone who celebrates christmas is yeling at jews to take down their menora or Kwanzites do stop doing whatever they do on Kwanzaa.

I like Wintereenmas and Christmahanzaquanica myself.
I don't think i spelt that second one right. I did get a kick out of it though.

Anyways i watched the Chapel shows Black White Supremecist thing in my media issues class a few days ago and thought that was awesome.

Hopefully it won't take 40 years for people to be so uptight about religious based holidays.
It took longer than that for racial stereotypes though and that is still a HUGE work in progress

Guy down the street from me had his massive amounts of Xmas displays stolen last year.(He had more then than he has now)

Just saw him on the news now.
People started giving him stuff this year to replace it.
He has approx 4 thousand dollars worth of blow up and light up displays that he has repurchased and had people donate to him.

Plus to stop theivery earlier this year he spent 7grand on a small fench around his yard.
Plus the cost of keeping them running for over 1 month.

This dude is loaded.
