Didn't need 99% of the reading i did on Color of Water.
We just used abstract linking of random quotes to the book and ourselves, life other crap.

It sucked.
Wasn't too hard though.

I didn't blame the book for my mistakes.

I said the mid term sucked.
But it wasn't very hard.

I just saw a comercial for Intel Mac chips.
Since the chip was being "wasted" by just being solely used for PCs

Apple fucked up with that deal.  The PowerPC chips were raping most everything out on the market right now.  Thats the only reason to own a mac, because it sure as hell isn't the OS.   Phil Schiller was all about showing how the G5s are better than their intel counterparts.  Now they are switching to them!?  And that Rosetta crap is going to slow things down even more.  What the hell are they thinking?  I knew mac users are gullible, but being exciting about cutting off the only leg they had to stand on is just absurd.

Not true.  The Intel/AMD chips had passed the PowerPC chips in performance quite some time ago.  Plus, the PowerPC chips were RISC, which is a handicap now rather than a blessing.  Apple wanted a quick and easy way to switch over to CISC processors, and they found it in Intel. If they had been smart about it they would have gone with AMD's 64bit processors, but no one ever accused Apple of making good decisions.

Not to what I hear.
But you are right about the AMD thing making more sense that intel.  But intel hates Microsoft because of AMD and the delay of vista, so I guess that was more of a business thing.  They should have just moved to the Cell Processors (which are similar to the PowerPCs) if they were worried about the PowerPC's heat and power issues. But as of right now, apples (hardware wise) are outperforming their PC equivalents.

And they only reason people are using x86 stuff is because RISC doesn't have market support.   Not because of the performance (which is not as good as RISC).  Why do you think CISC is following the RISC philosophy more and more?

That's what it boils down to.  Getting people excited about buying your product.  Besides, its intel we are talking about.  They aren't cheap at all.  They are horribly overpriced…. On second thought, good move Apple. Tongue

*edit
and you are right (in respects to intel and AMD being more powerful than PowerPC) only because of their 64 bits.  As far as I know, there is no 64 bit support for apples yet.  Is there?  and I am pretty sure they are not using 64 bit chips in the intel apples, so if that is the case, then no, they are not.
