Tynstar's question about the differences between Xbox Platinum Hits and regular release packages reminded me of something I've noticed about PS2 Greatest Hits.

I've seen on the store shelves and purchased (X-men Legends most recently) several PS2 Greatest Hits titles that are actually still in regular release packaging. The red GH banner is just in the shrinkwrap.

I'm guessing these are stock still available when games first go GH and they just re wrap them.

Not a big deal really. I know some people like to wait till games hit Greatest Hits prices. A good way to snag new games in original packaging for GH prices.

Anyone else noticed these?

Yea i saw them in the RZone at Toys R Us.
I like the idea.
It is so much better than getting a GH edition.
