Bush and Bush Sr. show up as well as Reagen Pat Buchanan, Rush Limbaugh(sp?) and generic other religious freaks.
Comments range from AIDs being a gift from god to kill evil homosexuals to femenism being a tool allowing women to kill their children an become lesbians and such.
Another good one was when the guy running the Environmental dept. in the 70s said that we didn't need to worry about protecting the environment because the Second Coming was upon us.
Amazing quotes IMO.
Especially the guy who was live on TV.
I find these funny and ironic and stupid among many other things.
Don't trust people of blind faith. It leads to bad thing. Very bad.

More reasons that all religion should be banned from the planet.

This is why people from Europe point at the USA and laugh.

Compared to European countries, the USA is still very "young". An unfortunate consequence of this is that most citizens of our country are still very socially uptight.
Organized religion, while flawed, can provide some good to society as a whole. If you can remove the focus on ritualism & the political hierarcy within each religion, and then focus solely on the communicating well regarding the human lessons that can be learned (without judgment or predjudice), then it is capable of providing value to the community it serves. But that's a tough road...
The reality is that at this time there are no religious leaders willing to make the necessary changes to their church in order for them to become better skilled at such communications. And if people keep attending and giving them donations, they really have no motivation to make any changes.

I thought the Micheal Savage quote was great too.
That one was over live national television.
Robertson was pretty insane and over the top.
I liked the ones about the second coming and armageddon being upon us too though.

You people are some of the most under educated, head under the ground, morons I have the delight of knowing. This is why they need to teach world history in school.
Jesus Christ, George Bush and Rush Limbaugh Religious freaks? They go to church and pray and OMG!!!!!! STFU!!!!! they have Christian morals. Which are a lot better than Muslim morals I can assure you. You want a religious freak look at Osama.
The quotes are all out of context and the whole site is biased bullshit.

You are right to a point, but some of the people quoted on that site said things that are indefensible regardless of what site it appears on.
Quote
[Homosexuals] want to come into churches and disrupt church services and throw blood all around and try to give people AIDS and spit in the face of ministers.
Christian morals vs. Muslim morals? I don't think anyone here was arguing that. Perhaps the site was, but that's not the point.
Also, George Sr. is quoted as having said:
Quote
"I don't know that atheists should be considered citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God."
You're right that I don't know the context of this statement, but please do tell me in what context this statement is defensible. I don't say he is an extremist. I say he is an idiot.

I said something like that to my wife. I want to know the context of the quotes. But still some of the quotes are bad no matter what the context.

It's a pretty cheap and crappy site, so it shouldn't be too hard to find the context somewhere on the internet.
