Kutaragi always seems to be attempting to increase the perceived power of his system, but in the end, nothing is growing but his nose.  He is now claiming the PS3 will run at 120 FPS.  Guess what Kutaragi?  There are no televisions currently on the planet that can support this, and NO HUMAN EYE THAT CAN SEE AT THIS RATE.

What kind of pissing contest is this?  Kutaragi makes me mad.

Makes you wonder what the launch price will be ?

I wonder if that is why the launch date is sooo far away ?

I am caring less and less about PS3 because it is going to be so disgustingly expensive.
They arn't even trying to hide the fact that it is going to cost a shitload.

Infact it seems that Sony believes that the fact the console is going to cost more it is a sort of marketing ploy in and of itself.

Won't they have some VGA cable thing going on, like the Dreamcast had? I remember my bro had one, got it running on his computer monitor and stuff like Soul Calibur looked pretty darn amazing.

You could technically get 120hz, vsynced, on a monitor that supports that refresh rate. But yeah, who's gonna be using their PS3 on a monitor.

Perhaps this is to cure slowdown?  When the polygon count is high, and the framerate drops, you would still be above the 30fps of modern televisions and the slowdown is not noticed.

Being able to decode 10 HDTV signals at once is extremely impressive though.
